Submitting the application

We will be doing moving to a step-by-step online process this year.

We are currently looking for team leaders who are able to recruit their own teams. Alternatively, if you would like your team to go, but do not want to be the team leader, please pray for and talk to the person you feel would be a good leader for your team. Either way, the initial form can be found here. These applications are due Wednesday, November 30th.
We'll contact the team leader to discuss and either affirm his/her assignment as leader or suggest alternative solutions. This will be confirmed by the Friday, December 9th.
A link for team member applicants will be sent to the team leader, who will forward it to team members. These, along with references (will also provide a link to an online form) and a team demo will be due the Friday, January 6th.

We will notify you of your application status via email by Tuesday, January 31, 2012. If invited to be on a team, we will call you shortly afterward to confirm your team placement/location and send you our Team Member Covenant, Global Impact Ministries Policies Agreement, Statement of Foundational Beliefs, and Waiver of Release as PDF files. Please either print and send the completed documents by mail to the address on the forms or digitally sign them with your official digital signature. After we have finalized the team assignments, we will send a team manual for logistical, personal, spiritual, and ministry preparation to help you make the most of your experience.

A note about references

We will include the URL for the online reference form with the team member application. Please forward this link as soon as possible to your references. Please choose one reference from the leaders at your home church or campus ministry staff, one from your close friends, and one artistic reference. We do not accept references from family members. We would appreciate it if you follow up with your references at least two weeks before the due date (stated at the top of the form) to ensure they have submitted the form to us.

Demo instructions

Demos can be submitted as MP3s (music), MPGs (video, dance, drama), or JPGs (photography, painting) online. A link will be provided to the team leader.

A professional demo is not necessary. Grab an old school tape recorder and start worshiping. Make it as clear and high quality as possible and convert it to an MP3 file. If you have professional equipment, use it. If not, it’s fine! As long as we can hear you, and as long as it’s you, it’ll work. ☺

If you are applying as a dancer, please share a video that highlights your dancing skills. Lyrical and interpretive dance put to song will help us to see how your talent will best fit within a team.

If you are a visual artist, please send JPGs of images of your favorite artwork and anything else appropriate to interpretive art as worship.

We will send a URL to the team leader to upload the file(s).
