Summer 2009 opportunities
India 1 
Simple. Play shows in major urban centers of India. Hang out and develop relationships with students and local musicians. Be the fragrance of Christ to people.
India 2
Listen to some Pakistani music. Watch an Indian dance. Notice the details on a Nepali temple. Ask questions about a Sri Lankan drama. These creative arts in combination with stories, myths & legends have shaped the values, beliefs & traditions of South Asians for more than two millennia. Each of these art forms is a distinctive expression of a particular culture and society. They captivate and speak to the heart. They reveal what it means to be South Asian.
As a member of the South Asia Creative Arts Discovery Team you will:
- discover the music, dance, drama, visual art resources within an area and/or UPG
- make strategy proposals to the South Asia Creative Arts Strategy Team (CAST) and the sponsoring SC for arts use in reaching your UPG with the gospel message.
- experience the richness & beauty of South Asian culture
- encounter & engage lostness in South Asia
- play shows as God creates opportunities for cultural exchange.
These tools of oral communication (music, stories, dance, etc.) represent a virtually untapped resource for reaching/touching the hearts of millions of South Asians with the light of the Gospel. Your participation on a Creative Arts Discovery Team could be the catalyst God uses to see a people group reached for Him through the art forms He created.
Spain
Come minister this summer in Puerto Banus, Marbella, Spain - one of the most cosmopolitan and hedonistic destinations in all of Europe that draws people from over 150 nations to its beautiful beaches, yacht basin, trendy shops, expensive restaurants and legendary night clubs. We are looking for passionate, non-conventional, adventure loving, creative musicians and others to run a “Christian Night Club”, youth day camps, music seminars and outdoor concerts/events in the deep end of post-modern Europe.
Global Calling...Role...Strategy...
The calling God has placed on our lives as an organization and as musicians in reference to His global purposes is to impact culture by impacting those who increasingly and significantly impact culture in all parts of the world, especially national college musicians. The opportunity and stewardship responsibility we have to change cultures by reaching its college musicians and artists is immeasurable.
The strategy is for artists to develop relationships with local musicians through concerts, worship training sessions, and cultural exchange. From these musical intersections, cross-cultural relationships are developed, national musicians are reached, culture is altered, and nations are changed by the gospel of Jesus Christ. We challenge you, as an artist, to be a part of impacting culture worldwide.

Debriefing will be 3 days in length upon return from assignment. Both of the above trips could be anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months depending on availability of applicants.
Cost Estimates

probably around 2,100 plus airfare
Estimates include food, lodging, in-country travel, training, visas, and int’l travel insurance. They do not include immunizations or arbitrary spending overseas such as souvenirs, coffee, and entertainment. Usually team members are able to keep all overseas expenditures within the projected amount, but we are obviously not able to control how much is spent outside of food, lodging, and local travel. Immunization costs will, of course, vary depending upon country and what you’ve already had. Cost could also vary depending upon length of trip. However, this will be finalized once teams are confirmed in March.
