About Worship Foundations
We are a community of Christ followers committed to walking alongside musicians and worship leaders in their quest to understand, be prepared for, and be effective in their life-callings. Musicians, both performers and songwriters, are called to have a central place in helping people connect with God...to see truth, see what's happening in the world, and respond by inspiration from God's heart.

Our organization is based upon a desire to build and celebrate the foundational realities (Ezra 3) out of which we live - hence the name worship foundations. The norm today is service based upon method rather than service that is an overflow of who we are as humans, children of God, and friends of Jesus. So, the focus of our energy is to support the spiritual formation of musicians and worship ministers - to be a resource for growth.

The Journey before The Journey

Scott Leggett here, heading out to Malta and Tunisia with a team from my church, Grace Chapel where we will be building partnerships with an arts school and leading worship for a convention of Christian, national leaders in North Africa. I'm excited to meet the people, hear their stories, learn more about this culture and see how God will use the arts to connect us all. We brought with us guitars, music and Bibles in Arabic. Thank goodness music is a universal language, because...

Update from Europe
Posted 10.25.2011
I had the opportunity last month to visit two potential hosts in Western and Central Europe as well as to connect with the host for this past summer's Spain team. My teammate, Lilliah, and I could definitely see God's handiwork wherever we traveled, but also sensed the spiritual darkness that covered the land. Europe is definitely ripe for harvest and would be a great place for musicians to serve, but it is a largely forgotten mission field. Being a relatively wealthy place, people who have heard the name of Jesus but have not yet met Him personally are in a place to stop and enjoy music as an art. Without the pressures of trying to barely survive, they have the luxury of spending time with teams and engaging in conversations about...

eGive update

Hey all...a heads up that eGive now has an option to pay by ACH without creating an account on their website. Now it's even easier for you to participate in this mission by giving via ACH. Remember it's less expensive for WFI to receive gifts through ACH for any dollar amount above $25 than receiving through Paypal. eGive charges $.75 per transaction and Paypal is roughly 3% of the gift.   Check it out at www.worshipfoundations.com/donate  ...

Spain team success

Last month I had the opportunity to spend time debriefing our Spain team. It was an encouraging time as we unpacked what God did in their lives and in the lives of those to whom they ministered in Spain. You can check out their blog here and team site here for review. I rec'd a quick e-mail from their host who said, among other things, "They were a blessing in everyway and we will really miss them." Well done Spain team and WFI as an organization. ...

I just spent the morning with our Spain team and left encouraged by these guys, our 2011 Spain team. It will be fun to follow and hear of what God does in and through them.   The SE Asia team continues to provide great updates here.   We press on together for the gospel and for those who haven't heard.   Martin      ...
